The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Thursday
that natural gas inventories declined by 55 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the
week ended December 8.
Economists had expected a fall of 54 bcf.
The previous week saw a decrease of 117 bcf.
