The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday
that natural gas inventories decreased by 87 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the
week ended December 16.
Economists had forecast a decline of 80 bcf.
The previous week recorded a drop of 55 bcf.
