The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that
natural gas inventories dropped by 87 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week
ended December 16.
Economists had expected a fall of 79 bcf.
The previous week witnessed a decrease of 87 bcf.
