European Central Bank Governing Council member Francois Villeroy de Galhau said on Wednesday that this year will be the year of cutting interest rates. However, he highlighted that it’s premature to say when in 2024 the ECB will begin to reduce its rates, adding that the rate-setters are not guided by a calendar but by data.
