U.S. 10-year yield seen to reach 4% in six months, - Reuters poll

Reuters reported its latest poll of bond strategists, conducted on April 4-9, revealed a rise in U.S. Treasury yield forecasts for the coming months as bets for cuts in the Federal Reserve's interest rates eased amid indications of sticky inflation and strong economy in the U.S.

According to the Reuters poll of 81 bond strategists, the U.S. 10-year yield is seen to drop from 4.39% on Tuesday to 4.15% by end-June and then to 4.00% in six months. The projections were the highest so far this year, Reuters noted. In a year, the 10-year yield is predicted to decline to 3.85%.

Meanwhile, the U.S. 2-year Treasury yield was forecast to decline from 4.76% currently to 4.40% by end-June and then to 4.10% and 3.69% in six and 12 months, respectively.
