Eurozone investor sentiment improved in October

Figures from the Sentix showed that the eurozone investor sentiment rose moderately in October, recording the first increase in the last 4 months, and exceeding economists' forecasts.

The investor confidence index rose to -13.8 points from -15.4 points in September, while consensus estimates suggested growth to -14.6 points. The poll of 1,150 investors was conducted between October 3-5.

The economic expectations index rose by 4.2 points to -3.8 points. It was the second increase in a row. Meanwhile, the current situation index declined to -23.3 points (the lowest value since December 2023) from -22.5 points in September.

Meanwhile, the investor confidence index in Germany rose to -31.5 points from -34.7 points in September. The economic expectations index improved to -13.5 points from -20.3 points in September, while the current situation index rose to -47.8 points from -48.0 points in September.
