Company news: FedEx (FDX) quarterly results miss analysts’ expectations
FedEx (FDX) reported Q2 FY2024 earnings of $3.99 per share (versus $3.18 per share in Q2 FY2023), missing analysts’ consensus estimate of $4.19 per share.
The company’s quarterly revenues amounted to $22.165 bln (-2.8% y/y), slightly missing analysts’ consensus estimate of $22.356 bln.
The company also reaffirmed its FY2024 EPS guidance of $17.00-18.50 versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $18.20 but lowered its FY2024 revenue outlook to a low-single-digit percentage y/y decline versus the prior forecast of approximately flat y/y revenue growth versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $89.3 bln, which suggests a decrease of 1% y/y.
FDX fell to $252.52 (-9.81%) in pre-market trading.
