The Commerce
Department announced on Wednesday that the U.S. business inventories edged down
0.1 per cent m-o-m in November 2023, the same pace as in the previous month. That was in line with economists’ expectations.
According to
the report, stocks at manufacturers increased 0.1 per cent m-o-m in November, while
inventories at merchant wholesalers fell 0.2 per cent m-o-m, and those at retailers
slipped 0.1 per cent m-o-m.
In y-o-y terms,
business inventories advanced 0.4 per cent in November.
