The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that natural gas
inventories dropped by 154 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended January 12. That marked the seventh straight
weekly fall in natural gas inventories.
Economists had forecast
a decrease of 164 bcf.
The previous
week recorded a fall of 140 bcf.
