U.S. stock-index futures rose on Friday as investors continued equity purchases while awaiting data on the U.S. consumer sentiment and the housing market later in the day for clues on the Federal Reserve’s next steps. In addition, market participants reacted favourably to an earnings report from the Dow component Travelers (TRV; +5.1%).
