European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council member Joachim Nagel stated on Friday that the Eurozone is already in a recession or very close, noting that this is a curious comment. However, he added that it is looking like a soft landing for the euro area is possible.
The policymaker also said that, in his view, it is too early to cut interest rates.
