About 90% of Chinese enterprises in the U.S. plan to maintain or boost their investment levels - survey

The results of an annual survey of about 100 Chinese companies conducted by the China General Chamber of Commerce in the U.S. (CGCC) showed that most Chinese enterprises in the United States remain optimistic about the market in the long term, despite growing concerns about U.S.-China relations and the business environment.

The data showed that almost 60% of companies strive to maintain a stable level of investment, and about 30% plan to increase it. The CGCC added that the latest survey reflected a “commendable sense of optimism, determination and resilience.”

"Chinese firms remain committed to the U.S. market despite growing negative sentiment about the overall business environment amid growing trade tensions. More than 60% of respondents noted the deterioration of the business environment in the United States. At the same time, the level of concern about the "impasse in Sino-American bilateral relations, political and cultural ties" rose to 93% from 81% a year earlier," the CGCC said, adding that more than 65% of respondents cited the "complexity and ambiguity" of U.S. regulatory and sanctions policy towards Chinese companies are the main problem of branding and marketing in the USA.
