The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that natural gas inventories tumbled by 190 billion
cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended December 6. This marked the 4th straight weekly decline in natural gas inventories,
which was also the steepest since the week ended
January 26 (-197 bcf).
Economists had forecast a plunge of 170 bcf.
The previous
week saw a fall of 30 bcf.
