Company news: Merck’s (MRK) posts surprise quarterly profit
Merck (MRK) reported Q4 FY2023 earnings of $0.03 per share (versus $1.62 per share in Q4 FY2022), better than analysts’ consensus estimate of -$0.11 per share.
The company’s quarterly revenues amounted to $14.630 bln (+5.8% y/y), beating analysts’ consensus estimate of $14.489 bln.
The company also issued guidance for FY2024, seeing EPS of $8.44-8.59 versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $8.40 and revenues of $62.7-64.2 bln versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $63.47 bln.
MRK rose to $122.15 (+1.13%) in pre-market trading.
