Company news: United Airlines (UAL) posts narrower-than-expected quarterly loss
United Airlines (UAL) reported Q1 FY2024 loss of $0.15 per share (versus $(0.63) per share in Q1 FY2023), better than analysts’ consensus estimate of $(0.58) per share.
The company’s quarterly revenues amounted to $12.539 bln (+9.7% y/y), beating analysts’ consensus estimate of $12.450 bln.
The company also issued upside Q2 FY2024 EPS guidance of $3.75-$4.25 versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $3.73.
In addition, it reaffirmed FY2024 EPS guidance of $9.00-$11.00 versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $9.43.
UAL rose to $43.72 (+5.35%) in pre-market trading.
