Company news: Costco's (COST) quarterly earnings beat analysts’ forecasts
Costco (COST) reported Q1 FY2024 earnings of $3.48 per share (versus $3.10 per share in Q1 FY2023), beating analysts’ consensus estimate of $3.41 per share.
The company’s quarterly revenues amounted to $57.799 bln (+8.2% y/y), roughly in line with analysts’ consensus estimate of $57.785 bln.
The company also announced that the board of directors has declared a special cash dividend on its common stock of $15/share, payable January 12, 2024, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 28, 2023. The aggregate amount of the payment will be approximately $6.7 billion.
COST rose to $640.00 (+1.46%) in pre-market trading.
