Richmond Federal Reserve Bank president Thomas Barkin told Bloomberg TV that he thinks the Fed policymakers have some time to be patient, noting that the labour market remains strong and inflation is coming down. The official added they will get a few more months of inflation data and he would very much like to see that trend continue and broaden.
Barkin also said that the economic data has been remarkable across the board but admitted that he is cautious about numbers around the turn of the year, as there are big seasonal adjustments.
