The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) informed on Thursday that natural gas inventories tumbled by 93 billion cubic
feet (bcf) in the week that ended January 10. This was the 9th straight weekly decline in natural gas inventories,
which was also the sharpest one since the week that ended January 19, 2024 (-326 bcf).
Economists had anticipated a plunge of 255 bcf.
The previous
week recorded a decrease of 40 bcf.
